oung adults building confidence and purpose through life coaching

For Millennials and
Gen Zers

Everyone around you seems to have it figured out. You don't. That's more normal than you think.

People in their teens, 20s and even 30s have unique experiences and challenges. From the college process to personal finance to relationships of all kinds to career and job issues, I have worked with hundreds of teens and adults on these and other critical areas of their lives. Depending on the situation, I offer individual and small group (Integrity Circle) sessions that can make an enormous difference at important junctures in your life.

Programs for

Millenials and Gen Zers

You can choose from any of these options:

  • Integrity Circles — small group coaching

Ages 17-19: Finding Your Path

I have over two decades helping teens grapple with questions like:

  • Where should I go to college and why? And how do I manage that process?

  • What if college isn't for me — how do I build a life and a career without a degree?

  • Everyone's going to college and I'm not — does that mean I'm already behind?

  • How do I figure out what “career” I want or what I should major in, especially when AI seems to be changing everything so quickly?

  • How do I have healthy, happy relationships with my parents, friends and romantic partners?

  • How do I stay in the moment and enjoy life when social media is constantly distracting me and filling my head with FOMO, imposter syndrome, and other insecurities?

People in Their 20s and 30s

For people in their 20s and 30s, the "real world" is finally here and "adulting" presents new challenges and questions — all of which I have been helping adults with for decades:

  • I'm either grinding at work or burned out on the couch — how do I build a life that actually feels sustainable?

  • My relationships keep falling into the same patterns — how do I stop picking the wrong people or pushing away the right ones?

  • I don't want to just climb some ladder — but I also don't know what I do want. How do I figure that out?

  • How do I find a job or "build a career"?

  • What is "networking" and how do I do it?

  • What do I do when I have a problem with my boss or a coworker?

  • How do I make sure AI won't "take my job"?

  • How do I manage my finances and build wealth, not debt?

  • I can barely keep up with rent — how am I supposed to start building actual wealth?

  • Everyone says I should be saving for retirement but I'm still paying off student loans — where do I even start?

For College Students

People in college wrestle with some of the same questions teens do, but, as they enter their 20s, they also face new challenges and opportunities — and new questions, like:

  • Nobody's making me do anything anymore and I'm either overcommitting or doing nothing — how do I find a rhythm?

  • How do I deal with living with people I'm not related to?

  • School taught me how to get good grades but not how to actually think — how do I change that?

  • When and why should I get an internship?

  • Where should I study abroad and what should I study?

  • How do I start and manage my career, especially when I feel like high school and college did so little to actually teach me this?

  • Should I go to grad school? When? Where? How do I manage that process?

Why I Work With Young Adults

I know — I'm not 25. But here's what I bring that most coaches your age can't.

I've spent 25 years working directly with young people — as a teacher, a school director, a mentor, and a coach. I directed an innovative lab school in New York, where I worked side by side with teens and twentysomethings every day. I've coached hundreds of young adults through the exact things you're dealing with — career confusion, relationship drama, financial stress, figuring out who you actually are versus who everyone expects you to be.

I'm also a dad of two grown daughters, so I've seen this stage from every angle.

What my clients tell me is that having someone outside their friend group and their family — someone with real experience who won't judge them or panic — makes all the difference. I'm direct, I listen, and I won't waste your time.

Steve is my blueprint for giving and receiving care. He is my former teacher and remains a key mentor in my adult life. As a queer person of color, Steve has strengthened a personal & communal sense of acceptance and intention to my life's journey.
